After processing your prescription in
our computer system (medication check) we take the correct medicines. |
|
|
 |
All the information of your
prescription is put through the computer.
We check several things
e.g. if your medicine "fits" with your other ones and if the
dosage is correct.
If this will be a new medicine
for you we supply you with clear to the point information about its use
and effects.
|
 |
Our
medicines are stored in large cupboards. The fast movers are close to
the counters.
At least twice daily our
stock is replenished by one of our wholesalers.
The expiring date of the
medicines in stock are controlled by our computer system.
|
 |
 |
 |
Some
of the medicines are not sold in convenient end user packets. We fill
them out for you in small containers.
In the pharmacy a
part of our staff is preparing the prescriptions coming in by fax or
electronic mail. Often these medicines will be delivered or collected
later by our clients.
|
Meerburg Apotheek uses
effective checking devices to provide you the correct medicine.
For instance we use the bar
code on the boxes and our labels. Picking the wrong medicine must be
impossible.
If you come with your
prescription we check the bar code in front of you at the counter, if
you collect it later or if we deliver, the checking has taken place
already.
|
 |
 |
After
checking and evaluating we hand the medicines over to you.
Often we give you extra
information, in case you are given a new medicine or if something has
changed. With new medicines we often go over some extra written
information with you.
Some medicines need extra
support. An example is the use of special inhaled medicines for people
with lung diseases . We practice them with you in the counselling room.
