IN ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE: Neramexane is
similar to memantine and acetylcholinesterase inhibitors in that
neramexane targets the cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s Disease by
altering neurotransmitter signaling, but not the underlying
pathological mechanisms that cause the disease (amyloid production or
neurofibrillary tangle accumulation). |
